In loving memory of Wanda (Kinney) Thomas (86) of Apple Creek, Ohio who passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025. Wanda was married 59 years to William Thomas (deceased 2015) and raised four children; sons Kurt Thomas, Dave (Tracy) Thomas, and daughters; Sherry (Mark) Bowling and Julie (Kindell) Huffman who all had the privilege of living close by, where she could enjoy her 7 grandchildren and her 18 great grandchildren. Wanda has two sisters, Jenny Phillips and Phyllis (Freddie) Moore and is preceded in death by her parents Harry and Mary Kinney and brothers, Ralph and Charles.
Wanda retired from Rubbermaid and enjoyed meeting with those she worked with for regular lunches, as well as many ladies’ groups and an active Church member throughout her life. She had a devoted friend and companion, Bruce Wilson, who cared deeply for her and played countless hours of card games to keep their minds active.
Wanda enjoyed staying busy and kept her home, crocheted, sewed and quilted right up until her passing. She spent much of her time donating her creations to those in need and in Care Centers. She enjoyed visiting with folks and was a friend to those she met.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 11:00 AM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
