Beatrice H. Croston, 96, of Delaware and formerly of Wooster passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Willow Brook Christian Village in Delaware.

She was born on August 5, 1929 in Van Buren County, Michigan to Rodney and Florence Fry Hayden.

Beatrice had worked for Smucker’s, been a real estate agent, worked in the alteration department at Annet’s and was co-owner of Fred’s Cheese with her husband She was a quilter, woodcarving, painting, and artistic.  She was a member of Parkview Christian Church and Beta Sigma Phi.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard; parents; siblings Edith (Harry) Oldham, Alice Patten, Thelma (Chester) Zeigler, Rodney (Marie) Hayden, Florence (Gene) Glessner, Fred Hayden and Loulla Hayden.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Crownhill Cemetery, 1729 W. High St., Orrville with Mr. Mashall Hayden officiating.

McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
