Deanna Christine Bish, 84, of Wooster, Ohio, formerly of Saegertown, Pennsylvania, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 18, 2025.  A beloved wife, mother, sister and grandmother, Deanna was known for her unwavering faith, kindness, and her boundless love for others.

Born on June 7, 1941, in Saegertown, Pennsylvania, Deanna was the daughter of Charles and Irene Mays.  Throughout her life, she embodied compassion and generosity, always reaching out to help those in need.  Deanna’s deep belief in the Lord guided her through every season of life, and she touched countless lives with her gentle spirit and joyful heart.

Deanna’s career reflected her love of people and service—she spent time as a cake decorator, real estate agent, and traveling licensed practical nurse (LPN), offering care and comfort wherever she went.  Her eye for beauty was evident in her love of decorating and flowers, and she cherished time spent with family and friends above all else.

She is survived by her devoted children Vern Bish, Bill Bish, and Christine Nussbaum; her beloved sister Jane Gartner; and her cherished grandchildren Vern (Tasha) Bish, Greg Bish, Mike Bish, Jared Bish, Jessie Bish, Darren Bish, Kevin (Heather) Nussbaum, Eric Nussbaum, and Monica Nussbaum.  Deanna is also survived by many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and extended family who dearly loved her.  She also dearly loved them.

In addition to her husband Vern Bish Sr.; she was preceded in death by a daughter Diane Bish and brother Chuck Mays and her parents.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date in Pennsylvania.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the oncology department of Cleveland Clinic in Wooster, Cleveland Main Campus, and McIntire, Bradham & Sleek for their compassionate care.

McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

The family would like to thank all who showed kindness to the precious mother. Psalms 23 remains their comfort, and they rejoice knowing Deanna is now in Heaven, forever with the Lord.  Until we meet again—you are deeply loved and missed.  In honor of Deanna, please consider helping someone in need in place of flowers.
