Thomas G. Shaffer, 87, of Wooster passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025, at his residence.

He was born on April 7, 1938, in Loudonville to Ray and Mary Hoops Shaffer.  On June 27, 1966, he married Cecile N. Miller.  She preceded him in death on September 11, 2022.

Thomas proudly served his country in the United States Army.  Thomas worked at Wooster Products for 43 years and was also a farmer.  He enjoyed gardening, taking care of his lawn, tinkering on small engine equipment and volunteering at the Fredericksburg Legion where he was a life member.

He was survived by his children Ginny (Rick) Becker of Wooster and John (Karen) Shaffer of Fredericksburg; grandchildren Ashley (C.J.) Krites, Kaylee (Nick) Coppola, Ericka (Seth) Siedel, Lindsey (Brandon) Morrow and Matt (Rachel) Hanna; eight great grandchildren; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bob (Lana) Miller of Wooster.

In addition to his wife Cecile, he was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Susanna Coblentz and brother-in-law Doug Coblentz.

A private family service will be held.
