WOOSTER, OH – Patrick Keith Gray, 56, passed away Friday, November 14, 2025 in Wooster following two years of strength in battle with cancer.

Born on February 15, 1969, the son of Bob and Linda (Gray), Pat grew up alongside his sister, Bridget Tuberty. He graduated from Wooster High School in 1987. Pat graduated from Mississippi State with a Bachelor of Science, and studied Osteopathic Medicine at Ohio University in Athens, OH. He practiced emergency medicine at various hospitals around the country, with most of his practice centered in Northeast OH. He also spent a few years as a Correctional Physician in Marion, OH. Pat’s impact on his community’s wellness has been immeasurable and brought him great joy. He found deep purpose in his care for community, on a professional and personal level.

Pat had a great love for learning through travel, exploring through many interesting cultures, foods, and drinks around the globe. His favorite place on Earth was St. John in the US Virgin Islands. Pat achieved his goal to visit all 50 states in the USA. He spent years traveling alongside many beloved friends in the Hash House Harriers running club.

Pat’s many great loves of this life surrounded values of family, kindness, and discernment. While laughter with family takes the cake, Pat also loved to cook, eat ice cream, spend time with his pets, watch sports, and live new experiences.

Pat is survived by his mother Linda Gray and his sister Bridget (Shea) Tuberty; his children Molly Gray and Zak Gray; his step children Danielle Moon, Nikki Moon, and Emily (Andrew) Rinicella; his step grandchild Theodore Moon; his nieces Kate Tuberty and Neave Tuberty. He was preceded in death by his father Bob Gray; his uncle Gary Gray; and his grandmother Irene Gray.

In lieu of flowers, Pat’s children request donations made in his name to Wayne County Humane Society ( https://www.wchs.org/howtohelp ) or Doctors Without Borders ( https://give.doctorswithoutborders.org )

A local Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

“Life is about balance. We prepare for the future, but we must also remember to live for today – and one should never replace the other.” – Pat Gray

  1. I’m struggling to understand this immense loss: to his family, the community, & all those he has impacted along his short life. I will remember our chats about life and fragility of it. We still had some adventures we failed to complete. I will do them for both of us now in your memory. My sincere condolences to the family. I love you all

  2. Family. That was the most important thing to Pat. We learned a lot of over the past year of his love for his grandmother, mother, sister, uncles, children, step children, and nieces. Oh, the stories! The things he remembered from such a young age. He spoke to me about all of you frequently and his hope for you all is to live beautiful, fulfilling lives…of course full of fun and adventure. He love kitties and remembered each one with such fondness! I am grateful that we reconnected and were able to enjoy fellowship, food and friendship over many meals; especially his favorites – Hero House and Coccia House. Here’s to a life that was lived to the fullest. Time was not wasted by him, but cherished. Hugs to you all.

  3. Linda and Bridget, I’m so very sorry for your loss. I got to know Pat while working in the lines of the shipping department at Rubbermaid, as college help. He was such a good guy, and I’m confident a terrific and caring physician. Hugs from The Mendenhalls…

  5. My heart is breaking for the entire Gray family who are so deeply loved by so many. There are no words that can adequately express my deep sorrow for this immense loss of this good, wonderful man. He lived his life more fully than many. How proud he made his family. I know he is at peace with those whom he loved dearly that went before. May you be comforted in knowing this and may your faith hold you up and remind you that his soul is surrounded by Gods everlasting, eternal love and one day you will all be reunited again. With so much love.

  9. Of Pat’s family I only met Linda in person but Pat spoke a lot about his family and I am so so sorry for your untimely loss.

I met Pat through Kristine back in the summer of 2019 when he came to visit us in Alaska. We loved spending time with him at our Stevens family reunions, on our adventure to Egypt, seeing him in Ohio and Pennsylvania; I have good memories of a few ice cream scoops and conversations with Pat and I love the picture that Kristine took of Pat enjoying the ice cream cone that is in this obituary.

I will be eternally grateful to him for his support before my mom died, giving us advice on dealing with the hospital, nurses, and rehab when the answers and treatment weren’t on spot.

Although I have not met Molly and Zach, he talked about them a lot and was so proud of their successes through college and the welding program. He talked about all his family but especially Molly and Zach.

It seems so unfair that he is gone. It will be very hard to move forward but I pray that you find strength over time to do so and to honor his memory.
