Estrea Florence (Davenport) Ohl, 103, formerly of Painesville, Aurora, Fairport Harbor and Wooster, Ohio, died peacefully November 24, 2025, at Lifecare Hospice in Wooster. As matriarch of the family, she leaves behind a legacy of love, commitment and unwavering devotion to all whom she loved.
Estrea was born November 14, 1922, in Conneaut, Ohio to Florence (Heath) and Morton Davenport. She was a 1940 graduate of Ashtabula Harbor High. Estrea married Frank E. Ohl in June of 1940 in Hagerstown, Maryland. She was a long-time active member of St. James Episcopal Church and belonged to Daughters of the King in Painesville, Ohio. She enjoyed entertaining, reading, especially biographies and poetry but above all, she loved being with family.
Estrea was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank, son Michael E. Ohl, brother Edward M. Davenport, grandsons Michael B. Ohl, Erik O. Hilston, sons-in-law David G. Hilston and Alan D. Covert. She leaves behind her beloved daughter Barbara Ohl Hilston Covert of Painesville and daugther-in-law Carol B. Ohl of Wooster, grandchildren, Carri Hilston Jackson (Rob) of Painesville, Lisa Ohl Wagoner (Daryl) of Wooster, Julianne Ohl Franklin (Arnold) of Cincinnati as well as 12 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
A private service of remembrance will be held at a later date.
