Larry R. Boldman, 79, of Sandusky, died on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center.

He was born September 30, 1946 in Wooster to Floyd and Cecelia Kauffman Boldman.

Larry retired as the purchasing agent from Bliss & Laughlin Steel in Medina.  He served his country in the U.S Marine Corps and had been a member of both the American Legion Post 83 in Sandusky and the Lowell C. Hein Post VFW Post 2529.  Larry loved many things including his German Shepherds, boats, being on the Sandusky Bay, his 1982 Corvette, eagles and especially his family.  He was also a very patriotic man.

He is survived by his son Robert (Shelley) Boldman of Gibsonburg; grandchildren Logan and Mason Boldman of Gibsonburg and a brother Gary (Diane) Boldman of Wooster.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Service of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025 at 11:00 AM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.  Interment will follow in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.

  1. Larry and I had many fond memories of our eight years together at Saint Mary’s Grade School. He was a good buddy while as we grew up together.
    I last saw him upon his return from active duty status with the US Marines. God bless Larry and my condolences to his family.

  2. Larry not only was my big cousin but he was my idol. We fished together and had a few beers at the Ranch.
    My wife, son and I stayed with him at his house in Bayview. Great times and memories. We send our love condolences to his son Robbie and his family.

  5. My thoughts and prayers to Gary and family.About 3 yrs I met Larry at Leroy’s and we talked about growing up in the neighborhood and old friends.I am glad we got together as I remember the good time.
