Laura Teresa Roper, 51, of Wooster died on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare.

She was born January 13, 1974 in Barberton to Anthony and Gloria Witchy Sparaco.

Laura was a homemaker who loved nature, animals and music, especially 80s music.

She is survived by her husband Rodney; children Haley (Colton Quinn) Roper of Orrville and Joseph (Rachel Childress) Sparaco of Norman, OK; grandchildren Malakai Roper and Zariyah Quinn; sister-in-law Tracy Sparaco of Barberton; nieces and nephews Joseph Sparaco, Emma Sparaco, Dominic Roper, Peyton Roper, Jadyn Roper and Mikalah Roper and special friends Richard McDouagle, Melissa Latimer, Shannon Conway and Shylee Ramsier.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents; son Nathan Roper and a brother Joseph Sparaco.

There will be no services at this time.

McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

  2. She was Mama to alot of people and was fun to be around she definitely will be missed she’s with her son Nate and brother Terry now give everyone up in heaven hugs from all us .ur not in pain anymore

  4. Laura had one of the sweetest, most loving and kind souls that I’ve ever encountered. She was a great friend to many, even if she was sad, or having a hard time. She was always so sweet, and so full of love to give. I’m glad she gets to see her boy again, but she will be missed by many! She made an impact on everyone she encountered, as if she were a healing soul. 💚

    Fly high Laura, I’ll never forget coming home, and you were out on the porch with my boys and Missy, and their faces covered in stickers. 🤣💚
    We will all miss you down here.
