I want to say we met through a group chat of a bunch of middle-aged women on Facebook who like to read. Gosh that was back in 2011 2012 I think. We would discuss books, recommend books, and talk about our lives. We even had a secret santa exchange and an ornament exchange which we did for a few years we were also in a group lottery pool it was me Lori and seven other ladies on Facebook me and Lori eventually left the group chat we called ourselves The sisterhood. But Lori and I continue to chat after leaving the group chat and continue to grow a friendship we exchange Christmas cards every year we sent the gift when we could she sent me tons of yarn because her and I had a passion for crocheting and every morning we would send each other a good morning message and the last one I got from her was December 8th I was coming back from my doctor’s because I’m going through some medical issues myself and I messaged her back and told her I’m driving I’ll talk to you when I get home and she never saw it. A few days went by and I decided to text her cell phone after messages on Facebook went on answered and her daughter told me that she was in the hospital and it didn’t look good and I was just heartbroken I miss our daily chats. I will remember our last we shared we cried to each other on chat we even talking on the phone and . Last year she sent me a Christmas gift which was even though we’re from different mothers were like sisters and that’s the kind of bond we had we understood each other. I will miss you and our long talks. Rest in peace my sweet sister.
I was just getting to know Lori and she was a very quiet, kind soul. She adored her granddaughters and he face lit up when we chatted about them. Rest in peace, Lori.
I’m stunned. I sat and visited with Lori two weeks ago at a church luncheon. That was the Sunday everyone wore purple and she looked lovely that day. We had fun chatting and sharing. I am Grateful we had that precious time to break bread together. What a sweet, gentle lady. Missing you Lori and heartbroken for her family, church family and friends.
So sorry for your loss. Praying for the family.
Lori was a wonderful person and I was shocked to hear of her passing. We sat in the same section in church and we talked together when she was able to come to church. I loved seeing her there with her granddaughters, whom she loved dearly. Your family is in my prayers.
