1948-2025

Wooster-Alan D. Deppe, 77, joined the cloud of cheering joyful witnesses as he finished his earthly race on Friday, December 26, 2025.

He was born in 1948 during a New York blizzard to the late Douglas and Marjorie Deppe.  He graduated from Ketcham High School, NY in 1966, earned a BA degree in Biology from Hartwick College, NY and served his country for 3 years in the Army.

He was at Pinecrest Bible School as a student, registrar and principal during the years of 1973-1980.  He lived in Florida for 14 years where he taught school, had his own business, Quality Vinyl Repair and was a Pharmacy Tech at Saint Vincent’s Hospital.  In 1994, he moved to Wooster and married Cindy Hauter Deppe in 1995, who brought much joy into his life.  He retired from Charles Rivers Laboratories in Ashland as a Quality Assurance Auditor in 2019.

He was a member of Freedom Fellowship Church.  Alan touched many with his contagious laughter and faithfully put others before himself.  He ruled his life with the knowledge of God’s peaceful truths.

He is survived by his wife, family and friends.

There will be no services, and he will be inurned at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville.

The Prince of Peace is celebrating his homecoming, and we will continue to celebrate his life.

McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
