In Loving Memory of Andre K. Floyd
Andre K. Floyd, 61, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, generosity, and unwavering love. Born on April 21, 1964, in Leesburg, Florida, Andre entered the world as a gift to his parents, Andrew “Gully” Floyd and Pinkie Brown (Pinkard), and he spent his life being that same gift to everyone who knew him.
Andre was a shining light—one of those rare souls whose presence could instantly lift a room. He lived with an open heart, loving without limits, conditions, or expectations. Selfless to his core, Andre gave freely of himself, whether through kindness, humor, or simply showing up when it mattered most. His laughter was infectious, his joy unmistakable, and his outlook on life was a reminder to live fully, complain less, and find happiness even in the ordinary.
A passionate sports enthusiast, Andre’s loyalty was legendary. He proudly cheered for The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns, celebrating every win and enduring every loss with the same steadfast devotion. For Andre, sports were not just games—they were another way to connect, to share joy, and to bring people together.
Andre was preceded in death by his father, Andrew “Gully” Floyd, and his stepfather, Samuel L. Brown. He leaves behind a family who cherished him deeply: his loving mother, Pinkie M. Brown (Pinkard); his beloved son and daughter, Andre K. Floyd, Jr. and Shante Edwards; his sisters, Debra Murphy, Tredella Floyd, Margie Griffith, and Monalisa Taylor (Samuel Taylor); his brothers, Oscar Lewis and Steven Kimball; and 8 siblings from Florida. He is lovingly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom were blessed by his warmth and guidance. He is also remembered by his special friend and mother of his son, Holly Ingalls.
Andre’s impact cannot be measured by years alone, but by the countless lives he touched, the smiles he created, and the love he shared so freely. He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Calling hours and a funeral service celebrating the life of Andre K. Floyd will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, with calling hours from 10am-noon and the service beginning at Noon at Wooster Mennonite Church, 1563 Beall Ave., Wooster.
We will forever cherish the memories of Andre’s life and the enduring light he brought into this world.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
