  1. I have fond memories of Mary and Joe. I met them many years ago while cashiering at Buehler’s Milltown. They would make it a point to come through my line to check out their groceries. They would wait in my line even if other cashiers were readily available. Their kindness made me feel special. They always had a smile.😊 Their son, Jim, worked alongside me as a bagger. I have such fond memories of the Monroe Family. I am praying peace and comfort for your family as you grieve this profound loss.

  2. My thoughts and prayers are with the Monroe family during this difficult time. Mary and I were in Beta Sigma Phi sorority together and shared many memorable times. Her friendship and kindness will never be forgotten. I know how much she missed Joe so they are together again.

  3. So sorry to hear of your family’s loss. I remember the Monroes from church (Zion Lutheran) and Mary from the food demos at Buehlers. I always think of her when I use her recipe for stir fry sauce. Peace and comfort to the family.

  4. Meredith and John,
I have known the Monroe family for at least fifty years. I first met Mary at a Beta Sigma Phi meeting at their house. We had a member that was afraid of dogs and I mentioned it to Mary who said the dog was outside but she would call it to come in and put it in a bedroom. Soon she called “kitty, kitty “ and here came the dog and the other member never knew there was a dog in the house as she thought she called her cat. She never knew the dogs name was Kitty.
Mary was always involved with everything her children were involved with from Keen school through Wooster High School and especially the Band. Our son as a band member was quite fond of Mary and all her help with the band.
Mary was an example of the type of person we all should strive to be. Always cheerful and always helping others
    May god bless her soul
