Merle R. Weinman, 96, of Wooster passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at the Avenue of Wooster with family by his side.

He was born February 20, 1929, in Beach City to Carl and Sedilia Weinman.  Merle married Harriette Martin August 12, 1951, they were married 66 years.  Merle enjoyed grain farming in Wayne County and was a member of the Wayne County Farm Bureau.  He was a lifetime member of the Wayne Presbyterian Church where he taught Bible classes and held leadership positions over the years.

Surviving are his children Janice (Jeff) Blough, Kevin Weinman and Keith (Wanda) Weinman; his 3 grandchildren Nicholas (Kellie) Blough, Kyle (Shannon) Blough and Chase Weinman; his great grandchildren Thomas Blough, Aria, Brody and Javie Blough.  He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and brothers Wayne and Dale Weinman.

Services will be held Sunday, January 11, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Wayne Presbyterian Church, 7152 Burbank Rd., Wooster with Chaplain Charles Bontrager officiating.  Interment to follow at Wayne Presbyterian Cemetery.

Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the church.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the Avenue staff for their care and kindness and  to Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare staff during his final days.
