Jerry L Parks of Wooster died Sunday, January 11, 2026 surrounded by his family.

Jerry was born in Wooster on November 11, 1955 to Roy and Hazel Parks.

Jerry started working at his dad’s Sinclair station when he was in his teens and worked hard all his life at various jobs, including gas station attendant, mechanic, volunteer fireman, short order cook, and oil field hand. He grew up in Ohio but also lived in Florida, Kentucky, and Indiana. Jerry is survived by sisters Janice Gard and Linda Morris, sons Jimmy Garver, Scott Parks and Tyan Parks, daughter Bridget, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Roy Parks and Hazel Morris, stepmother Nancy Parks, brother Cliff Parks, step brother Mark King, step sister Lynn Buckland, son Steven Parks, and the love of  his life, Uler DeBerry.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a future time.

  1. Went to school with Jerry, Hubby Ed also worked with Jerry and From WCJVS Smithville. I knew his Mom Hazel . Rest in peace .

  2. I worked with him at artiflex. He was an absolute pleasure to work with very funny and just as kind as can be. Heaven gained an angle you will be missed my friend.
