  3. There are so many more things that can be said about my mother and what she loved. She was so passionate about my brother and I and was always involved in whatever activities we were growing up. She loved being by the water and lighthouses. She adored hallmark movies, especially Christmas movies. She had the kindest soul and never met a stranger. She was the most excellent cook & loved baking. The pride and joy of her life were her grandsons Taylor Bennington of Tampa, Florida and Peyton (Danielle) Bennington of Portage Lakes. We were not given any input on writing this and to see these things not mentioned or the boys names just adds to the sadness we already feel. I’m so glad that you are finally at peace mom, but life here will never be the same without you.

  8. Chris was my first best friend when we were little girls. Joy and Louis were very good friends of my parents, Paul and Wanda Oakley. And, Joe and my brother, Jeff were good friends too. We went places with their family. I remember visiting them in Toronto when they lived there and Chris introduced me to The Beatles on a jukebox- before the U.S. even knew about them. We had such good times. She will always be a part of my life.
My heart goes out to Joe and Stephanie and Mark and David. I never got to know them because we left Wooster after high school. That will be my loss as well.

  13. Chris was a beautiful person and friend. I met you when you started working a WRG. I will never forget you or all the fun times we had. You got me hooked on lighthouses. All of our shopping trips. You took me to the lake and I had my first and only ride on a wave runner, could not believe I did it! Then there were all the times that “the gang” got together, so many wonderful memories. I will miss you, but I know you are no longer suffering. So blessed to have called you my friend. Until we meet again. Love you Chris.

  14. Stephanie, Taylor, Peyton and family,

Our family’s supportive thoughts and prayers are with you as you celebrate your mother’s/grandmother’s life and continue her legacy. When I was a young child, she bowled in the same mixed doubles league as my parents while I happily played pool or pinball machines. Years later, she attended her grandsons’ school activities while I/we had the pleasure of supporting of some of our children’s shared activities. I/we hope you always hold fond memories of your mother/grandmother in your heart, just as I am sure she closely held you in hers.

    Warm regards,
    John and family
