Anthony “Tony” Phillips, 68 of Mansfield formerly of Wooster, Ohio passed away at his home on January 18, 2026.
Tony was born to Roger A. and Carrie Jean Phillips, August 18, 1957, and raised in Holmesville. He was a 1976 Graduate of Waynedale HS / Wayne County Career Center as a diesel mechanic.
Tony worked as a parts manager & diesel mechanic at Heislers Sales and Service for 20+ years. You could always find him under the hood of a vehicle no matter where he was. His also had a passion for go cart racing and did so for many years.
He is survived by his mother Carrie Jean, Burbank OH, his children Jennifer (Mike) Pertee, Wooster, OH, Anthony “TJ” (Jaimelynn) Phillips, Jr, Wooster, OH, and grandchildren Anthony “AJ” Phillips, Calesa Phillips, and Haylee Woodruff and great grandson Rhylar. His siblings Lisa Harter (David Owen), Tazewell, TN, Pamela (Mark) Blake, Creston, OH, Teresa, Paula (Kevin) Peterson, Barstow, CA, Angela (Gary) Britton, Paso Robles, CA and Joel D. Phillips, Sterling, OH. In addition to many nieces, nephews and lots of cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Roger Phillips, Daughter in Law,
Katie Mann Phillips, Brother-in- law Danny Harter and his best friend Mike Hackett.
No services are being planned at this time.
He may no longer be on this earth, but his memory lives on in all who knew him.

Pam, so sorry to hear of Tony’s passing. I remember so clearly the Phillips kids when I was teaching Art in Southeast elementary schools in Wayne County. My memories of them were pleasant, and loving of the artistic talent they exhibited. Please convey my deepest sympathy to all.
