What? Wait! Kenny is gone?
A total shock to us all. When something like this comes up that is so completely unexpected, coming out of Left field. (a baseball reference), it is very unsettling. I knew Kenny was in the Lending business and was a tremendous Cook. I would ask Ken what his next special was going to be and he would proceed to tell me this well thought out plan of the various items that would complete his purchase. He took great pride in planning out everything necessary for a highly successful dinner for about 100 people or so. The many, many meals over the years were tremendous. I would plan my activities around many of the meals! He was a very good man in all respects. You will be missed Kenny! You were one of a kind!
We shared some of the best times back in high school and years after. and I’ll always be grateful for those memories. LCHS 1980. To all the Majka’s you in my thoughts.
Gone too soon! Enjoyed the times the Majkas and Bardars got together many years ago and the our time in high school together. Kenny was never without a smile. LCHS1980. My sincere condolences to the entire Majka family.
Kenny was such a wonderful man. I have so many good memories of laughing and hanging out with him. Loved his sense of humor and his caring side too. He will be tremendously missed by the volleyball community. He was loved by so many. Praying for his family during this difficult time.

Kenny I’m going to remember all the times you played my favorite songs on the jukebox for me and surprised me with a hug and kiss on the cheek out of nowhere at Acme . We all loved your sweetness and will miss you so much.
Ken. You will be missed. Loved playing volleyball along side you. We had so much on and off the court. My thoughts and prayers to your family.
To the Majka family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Growing up on West 25th was a great time to get to know each other and each others family. May Ken rest in peace and enjoy the afterlife catering to the angels. Good memories of growing up as kids and young adults! RIP Kenneth.
We are all heartbroken for this unexpected loss. So many good times and memories with Ken in high school year (basketball, band, football and just hanging out – which we did a lot of!) and those early years after LCHS. Ken was a great friend throughout and a big part of my high school years. He will be deeply missed. My prayers and condolences to Ken’s family.
My sincere condolences to the Majika family on the passing of Ken. I have great memories of Ken all the way back to Nativity in the 1970’s, Lorain Catholic High School and even LCCC. Ken always had a smile and was willing to help anyone in need. God Bless Ken.
An incredibly kind and supportive man.
I am so sorry for his family.
You were a fantastic human Ken!
Kenny provided many of us the opportunity to play a sport we love and provided a place to play it — all while having the times of our lives. Your positive impact on the sport and people’s lives is immeasurable. I’m sorry I can’t make the service (medical issue). Kenny was an amazing friend.
Ken was always a friendly face at numerous vball events. Peace be with you and your family Ken.
Kenny , was a great guy to all that knew him . He was my buddy and i will deeply miss him …
Kenny was always ready with a smile and a joke – I admired how he never let things rattle him. I have such fond memories of the Outback tournaments – they were definitely a highlight of my summers. And, win or lose, Kenny was always there at the end with a positive word. He will be missed. Grace and peace to his family and friends and all who knew him – may you be comforted in this unexpected and tremendous loss.
Condolences to the Majka family. Enjoyed Ken in all my grades from Nativity to Lorain Catholic. He was always a pleasure to be around. May he rest in peace.
Thoughts and prayers to all of you.
Words cannot express the shock and sadness I felt when I heard the news about Kenny. I had lost contact with him except via Facebook. I was so happy I was able to reconnect with him last summer when he catered a fundraiser I coordinated. We caught up, laughed and had a good time…I will miss you my friend.
This man will truly be missed by so many people. He was definitely one of a kind. We didn’t know him that long but he will be remembered by us for a long time. Rest in peace our friend.
Kenny
Words cannot say how great of a guy you were. You impacted so many people in your life especially in the volleyball community.
So many great tournaments at old Outback.
Will miss your friendship as no matter how long the time that went by, we would always strike up where we left off
Much love brutha!!
Kenny was a teammate on the first USVBA team I ever played on along with John Hillyer, Kyun Kim, Kevin Chinchar, Barry, Mark. From day one, Kenny was one of the most accepting people I’ve ever met. Most of the guys were from Kent State, but I was not. Kenny made everyone feel like they had been a part of the team forever. Throughout the next 20-plus years of playing indoor and outdoor with/against Kenny, he never changed. He was as true a friend after 20-plus years as he was from the first time I met him. John is right—Kenny was nothing but a positive influence on the sport and everyone involved in it. We, as a volleyball community, have been very blessed to have come in contact with so many truly wonderful people and Kenny is certainly right at the top of anyone’s list who knew him.
