Dale R. Finley, 66, of Apple Creek died on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare.
He was born August 13, 1959, in Wooster to Emil and Rhea Warner Finley. Dale was a 1979 graduate of Triway High School and had worked at Midwest Workshop.
Dale loved to read and going to the library, history, Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Guardians and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
He is survived by his brothers Charles (Jean) Finley of Wooster and Carl (Peggy) Finley of Canada, nephew Zach Finley of Wooster and a niece Emily Finley of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents.
A Service of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Rev. Stephen Moran officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

We are so very sorry to learn of Dale’s passing. Remembering our time living on Heyl Rd and our neighborly bonfires and hot dog roasts and how much Dale enjoyed those gatherings. When we shared the news of Dales passing with our girls they simply said “sweet Dale”.
