Jane Lucille (McKinley) Reynolds was welcomed into heaven by her loving Lord and Savior on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare in Wooster.
Lucille was born March 9, 1934, in Ashland County to Wallace and Faye Crow McKinley. From the age of 6 weeks, she lived with her grandma Mary Crow and Aunt Elizabeth Sharr in Lakeville and then she cared for them until their passing in 1962.
She graduated from Lakeville High School with the class of 1951. After graduation she worked as an account clerk at the Flexible Co. in Loudonville for 2 years. She then worked at the Lakeville Post Office for 18 years as clerk and substitute mail carrier. In 1966, she worked as an account clerk at the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center retiring from there in 1988.
In 1968, she married Richard Reynolds. During their retirement years, they traveled the U.S. in their RV wintering in South Carolina where they spent their time fishing and golfing.
She enjoyed playing piano and was a pianist at St. John Lutheran Church in McZena in her early years. Her hobbies were golfing, fishing, and work. Her son Scott was her fishing buddy, and they enjoyed many fishing trips together.
Work was always on her agenda, and she was not afraid to tackle whatever job there was to do.
Surviving are her two sons, Tim Hitchcock of Shreve and Scott (Nora) Hitchcock of Millersburg; stepson Gary (Terry) Reynolds of Big Prairie; granddaughter Becca and great grandson Dawson of Perrysville.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Richard; son Jerry Hitchcock; brothers Don and Wayne McKinley.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 46 Ashland County Rd. 2575, Lakeville, Ohio 44368 or Wayne County Humane Society, 1161 Mechanicsburg Rd., Wooster, Ohio 44691.
