Richard Alvie Holcomb, 58, of Millersburg passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg.

Richard was born on February 26, 1968, in Summersville, West Virginia to Grant and Wanda “Kay” Elswick Holcomb. 

Richard graduated from Northwestern High School in 1986. He was an athlete in multiple sports and a talented musician. Richard worked for Walmart and had previously worked as a machinist. Richard enjoyed playing guitar, cheering on West Virginia University football and basketball teams, and loved fishing.

He is survived by his daughter Heather Holcomb-Reep of Akron; son Chris (Cindy Lam) Holcomb of Lewis Center; uncle Larry Elswick of West Virginia; aunt Kathryn Roberts of Wooster; and grandchildren Alexia Reep and Grant Holcomb.

Richard was preceded in death by his father Grant and mother Wanda.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 1:00 PM at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster. Interment will follow at Wooster Cemetery.
