Ruthella Lee Hall, 90, of Wooster died on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 in Wooster Community Hospital.

She was born April 7, 1935 to Earle and Wilma Lee Flinner.  On April 17, 1960, she married Donald Hall.  He survives.

Ruthella worked for many years as an underwriter for Lightening Rod/Western Reserve Insurance Agency.  She enjoyed going to sporting events, her grandchildren’s events, gardening, sewing, ceramics, crafting and having lunch with her fellow retirees.  Ruthella was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and Dollar Club.

Along with her husband, Ruthella is survived by her sons Kenneth (Trina) Hall of Ashtabula, Greg (Connie) Hall of Smithville and Jeff Hall of Norton; grandchildren Isabella Hall, Devan Hall, John (Jackie) Marty, Doug Kirtley and Stacey (Derek) Herdman; 7 great-grandchildren and one on the way; sisters-in-law Barb Flinner and Marian Flinner along with many nieces and nephews.

Ruthella was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Jimmy Flinner, Eugene Flinner and Vaughn Flinner.

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 2:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Rev. Kevan Franklin officiating.

Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

  1. Sutherland was a wonderful and kind lady. I worked with her at Lightning Rod in the late 70s early 80s.

  3. My mom, Shirley Gray Yund, & Ruthella were co workers a very, very, long time ago. I know they remained friends over the years. They may have even had a card club together. My sincere sympathies to the family.

  4. Greg, Don, Jeff, Ken & families, I have been thinking of you since learning of Mom’s passing. She was a wonderful lady and I am blessed to have many special memories of her. She truly loved her family. I will always remember her kindness, her smile and laugh. Supportive hugs to all of you!
