Robert C. Crites, 81, of Wooster died on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born August 17, 1944 in Weston, WV to Wes and Lucy Crites. In 1979, he married Janet Lee Pumphrey. She preceded him in death in 2023.
Robert had been the owner and operator of Crites and Son Paving for over 50 years. He loved his family and grandchildren who were his life.
He is survived by his children Martha Trujillo and Lorraine Trujillo both of Smithville, Robert Ray (Samantha) Crites of Shreve and Robbie Crites of Camden, WV; grandchildren Weston and Olivia Crites and a special nephew Justin Shallenberger of Wooster.
Along with his wife, Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brother Ray Crites and sister Virginia “Ginny” Ditmer.
Private family services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Wooster Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
