Leland “Lee” Good Wertenberger, Jr., 86, of Wooster died on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Wooster Community Hospital.

He was born August 18, 1939 in Lodi to Leland Good and Edna Wilcox Wertenberger.  On July 27, 1977, he married Doreen Dague.  She preceded him in death in 2007.

Lee had been a long-time farmer and had retired as the Road Supervisor for Franklin Township.  He was a member of Moreland United Methodist Church  where he was very active, serving on many boards over the years.  Lee also loved to fly airplanes.

He is survived by his son Mark (Shannon) Wertenberger of Wooster; grandchildren Macie, Maleena and Madelyn Wertenberger; nephew Gary Dague of Medina and a niece Kathy Dague of Columbus.

Along with his wife, Lee was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Elaine Wertenberger.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 11:00 AM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.  Interment will follow in Moreland Cemetery.

Friends will be received on Monday from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
