Duane Thomas “Tom” Rahz, 90, of Wooster died on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at his home.
He was born October 14, 1935 in Windham, OH, to Walter and Althea Mullett Rahz. He served his country in the U.S. Army.
As a retired construction supervisor for JoAnn Fabrics, he loved to work with his hands; gardening (especially his roses), cooking, baking, woodworking, and playing guitar were among his favorites. He enjoyed learning about history, particularly about the Civil War, and delighted in sharing his dry and wacky sense of humor. He had a photographic memory and the stories he shared of family history were a treasured part of the evening meal. He raced stock cars in his younger years and never lost his love of automobiles.
He is survived by his brother James (Cindi) Rahz of Wooster, sister Sally Donald of Wooster, and many nieces and nephews.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Mark Rahz, his beloved dog Bonnie and several other pets he adored.
Friends will be received on Sunday, May 3, 2026 from 3:00-5:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026 at 1:30 PM at Windham Cemetery, 9544 Windham Parkman Rd, Windham, OH 44288.
