Richard Lee Felton, 74, of Wooster died on Monday, May 4, 2026 at Akron City Hospital.

He was born June 26, 1951 in Millersburg to Harold and Rita Butts Felton. On March 8, 1970 he married Ruth Krownapple.

Richard retired from Smithville Manufacturing, as a Set-Up Man.

He loved to race remote control cars, watching his grandchildren play sports and Cleveland Indians baseball.

Richard is survived by his daughters Mary Brenneman (Darrell Keener) of Millersburg, Julie Felton (Keith Browning) of Wooster, and Sherry (Mark) Graser of Wooster; brothers John Felton of Warrior, Alabama and Jim (Stella) Felton of Coshocton; sister Pat (Jim) Merckle of Wooster; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, 2 great-grandchildren Rocky Matz and Maddox Graser, and sister-in-law Tiney Felton.

Friends may visit Sunday, May 10, 2026 from 12PM to 2PM at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster. Funeral services will follow at 2PM with Pastor Arnie Kaufman officiating. Burial will take place at Prairie Township Cemetery in Holmesville.

  4. I’m sorry to hear of Dick’s passing. I went to Holmesville elementary school with him and then high school. He was
    a great guy and fun to be around. I pray for peace and comfort to his entire family.
