William “Bill” Leo Boyd, 75, of Wooster died on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at his home.

He was born October 4, 1950 in Tiffin to William and Clara Duckwiler Boyd.  Bill served his country in the U.S. Army.

He retired as an Instructor at Timken after many years of service.  Bill loved to fish, travel, camp (especially at Prairie Lane), attending the Boyd family reunions and spending time with his nieces, nephews and extended family.  He was a member of the Wooster Moose Lodge and the American Legion Post #68.

Bill is survived by his siblings Barbara (Randall) Wilcox of Wooster, David Boyd of Wooster, Violet (Dave) Love of West Salem and Dorothy (Randall) Casto of Apple Creek; former spouse and best friend Jeannie Boyd of Wooster along with a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Shirley Wallace, nephews Randy Dean, Dillon Casto and Jimmy Boyd and a niece Haley Kruit.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 11:00 AM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Pastor Dan Wingate officiating.  Interment will follow in New Pittsburg Cemetery.

Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

  1. So sorry, I only have Great Memories of Billy. I know his name is William, but always BILLY to me. RIP. You will be missed. Cousin Pat.
