  7. I was sorry to read of Conrad’s passing. I delivered Meals on Wheels to him and he was always so nice and personable. Recently he even invited my brother and I in to see his house. We got the full tour and he was so proud to tell us all about it. Conrad built a dulpex for my brother, Bob Breneman. and he also worked with my Dad, Clyde Breneman, at Rubbermaid. It was fun to find all these connections that we shared. Thinking of you in your loss.

  8. Conrad was such an amazing man. He built our home for us making sure everything was perfect. We moved in on Thanksgiving Day. Conrad knew we would be busy so he brought us a meat and cheese tray. Always thinking of other people. He was kind, easy going, and the most honest man I have ever known. My total respect for him will be with me always.

  10. During the late 1950’s the Kennedy’s were customers on my paper route. They were kind and generous. I always enjoyed interacting with them. Life well lived with kindness and generosity. God blessed us with their presence.

  12. I’m sorry to learn of Conrad’s passing. Like Linda Bush, I became acquainted with Conrad through Meals On Wheels. He was the first stop on my route, and he was always out on the deck or at the back door to greet me. I looked forward to our conversations. He built houses, and I built houses, so we did a lot of talking about building houses. His home is one of the nicest homes in Wooster with custom features you won’t find anywhere else. He attended to every detail in its design and construction, and he was rightfully proud of it. I gave him a hard time about installing a single burner in the kitchenette at the back of the house when the house had a large kitchen elsewhere. I guessed it was the place for him to heat his own dinner when he was in the doghouse with his wife. He corrected me and said his wife used it when she canned. He was proud of his advanced age and mentioned his up-coming birthday several times. We both laughed when I accused him of trying to take advantage of the Senior
Discount when he said he turned 98 but still had a few days to go before his 98th birthday.

We send condolences to Conrad’s family for their loss.

  13. We met Conrad and Elva when we purchased some farm property near their farm in Morgantown, West Virginia in 1999. We learned very quickly of their generosity and graciousness and acceptance. We have been neighbors for 27 years and we miss them.
