Linda Dianne Mackey Wertz, 76, of Wooster passed following a short period of declining health on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare.  She was comforted by family and friends with loving care and comfort to the very end.

Linda was born August 31, 1949 in Wooster to Gerald and Dorothy Gindlesberger Mackey.  In 2018, she married Keith Wertz.  He survives.

She graduated from Triway High School in 1968 and was a Wooster resident most of her life.  Linda spent 25 years as an employee of Walmart stores in multiple locations.

Along with her husband, Linda is survived by children Kevin Wertz and Kristopher Wertz; grandchildren Kasen and Kohyn Wertz; brother Larry (Cathy) Mackey; 2 nephews and six grand-nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend Toni Nichols.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Scott Tracy, previous husband Earl Brady.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 11:00 AM at New Hope Church, 969 Blachleyville Rd., Wooster with Pastor Tim Broughton officiating.  Interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery.

Friends will be received one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.
