James “JC” “Dan” Cummings, 76, of Alliance, OH, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Burbank Parke Care Center after a long illness.

He was born on May 11, 1950, to James L. Cummings and Rose Sands Cummings.

James worked at Royal China in Sebring for many years and then as a supervisor and then worked with Electronic Circuit & Design in Jackson, OH.

He loved to thrift shop with his daughter, as that was their father/daughter time. He was an avid golfer and softball player and really enjoyed watching his grandson’s activities and the young men that they have become.

James is survived by his children, Kristina Marie (Ronnie) Emplit of Wooster and Brian S. (Dena) Cummings of Norfolk, VA; brothers, Joe Cummings of Canton, OH and Bobby Cummings of CA; grandchildren, Rece Emplit of Jacksonville, FL and Kole Emplit of Topeka, KS.

James was preceded in death by his parents.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill Street, Wooster, is assisting the family.

  1. I knew Danny since we were 7 years old, I lost track of him when I moved to California .My condolences to his family so sorry for your loss

  2. played ball with JC alot of years among other activities. Hadn’t seen him for quite a while.Always considered him a friend So sorry to hear of his passing.Condolences to the family.
