In Loving Memory of Roberta Lynn Fortune
Roberta “Bobbie” Lynn Fortune born to Robert Edgell and Virginia Akers Woosley October 22, 1967, passed away June 21, 2026, surrounded by her loving husband Mike, her children, close family and the grace of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. While our hearts are heavy with sorrow we celebrate a life defined by love, faith, kindness, and devotion to others. Bobbie was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished sister, proud grandmother, and beloved aunt. Her family was the center of her world and she treasured every moment spent with her family.
The love she gave so freely created a legacy that will continue to live on through the many lives she touched. She lived a simple and meaningful life dedicated to caring for those she loved. As a homemaker, caregiver, and gracious host, Bobbie opened not only her home, but also her heart to family, friends and even strangers. Gatherings at her home were filled with laughter, comfort, and her welcoming spirit. Her generosity knew no limits and her selflessness was a reflection of the deep faith she carried throughout her life.
She embodied grace, humility, and unconditional love serving others without expecting anything in return. Her trust and faith in God was a source of strength and inspiration to all who knew her. Bobbie leaves behind a family who adored her and countless others who were blessed by her friendship, generosity, and unwavering love. While we grieve her passing, we find comfort in knowing she is now at peace in the presence of her Savior. She will be missed beyond measure, remembered with endless love and cherished forever.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her father and stepfather Robert Edgell and Dairl Evans as well as her stepmothers and Millie Edgell and Charlotte Edgell, her in-laws Raymond and Viola Fortune. She is survived by her mother and stepfather Virginia and Clifton Woosley, stepmother Amy Evans, her loving husband Michael L. Fortune, her children Michael R. (Lydia), Regina (Brandon), Jennifer, Braiden (Sam), Courtney, and Madeline, siblings Dairl (Heather), Melissa (Jeremy), Robbie (Lorna), Melinda (Rusty), Robert and James (Tonya) as well as her precious grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026 at McIntire Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home located at 216 E Larwill St. Wooster, Ohio 44691 with calling hours at 11:00 AM, funeral service at 12:00 PM and a burial service following at Oak Grove Cemetery in Shreve, Ohio. I never had the privilege of meeting Bobbie but I’m sure she was a wonderful woman. My thoughts and prayers go out to her Braiden and Sam and the Family and may they have comfort in knowing she is with God and all her pain as been set free. The soft wind across your cheek it is a kiss from her and the arm you feel around your shoulder is a hug from above, letting you know she will always be with you and she is at peace. Bobbie and I were best friends all through school. We had a lot of great times I remember one Halloween we dressed up as Amish and she was smoking and there were some people talking about it and she turned around and said would you like to join me They ran away they did not realize that we could hear them.
