Diana L. Alsip, 67, of Wooster died on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at home.
She was born August 7, 1958 in Springfield to Jim and Justine Bayless Preston. On May 6, 2005 she married Dennis Alsip. He survives.
Diana received her BSN and had worked for Wooster Community Hospital, Med Central Hospital in Manfield, Horn’s Nursing Home and with Visiting Nurses Home Care. She loved to craft, decorating for the holidays, home décor and the beach, especially Cherry Grove Beach in South Carolina and spending time with her family.
Along with her husband, Diana is survived by her son Josh (Jennifer) Courson of Wapakoneta; step-children Matthew Alsip of Shrewsbury, PA, Kristen Hines of Rittman and Megan (Jeremiah) Crawford of Wooster and twelve grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Linda West and David Preston.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2026 at 3:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.
Friends will be received from 1:00 PM until the time of service on Sunday.

Denny, I am so sorry for her passing but relieved that her pain and suffering is a thing of the past and she is in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Diana was a truly amazing friend. Always willing to listen and help as able. Diana will be missed but now is in the Heavenly Father’s home and has perfect health.

My Aunt Diana was an Amazing person!! When I was younger I would love to go over to her house when she lived in Springfield, and stay the night all the time. And she would always make me sit there with her on the couch and watch M.A.S.H. with her! I hated that show, but she loved it, and she also knew all the words to the songs at the begining! And I also loved being over there especially when Josh was a baby, I loved holding him and helping with him. I always loved hanging out with my Aunt!! And when my sister Angel & I lost our mom back in October of 2020,Aunt Diana would come and visit us and stay at my sisters house, and all 3 of us would get together and make my moms very special recipe, Peanut Brittle!!!And we sure did have lots of fun doing it to! We talked about the good times with the family that we have lost, we would cry & we would laugh! And now when me & my sister get together to make the peanut brittle, we are gonna have to include Aunt Diana into this conversation!! Aunt Diana you are no longer I pain, you have gained ur Wings!! You are gonna be missed so very much just like the rest of the family!! R I H
