Carol Jean McCullough, 91, of Wooster passed away on Sunday July, 5, 2026, at West View Healthy Living.
She was born on April 16, 1935, in Canton, Ohio to Arthur and Esther Bixler-Chenot.
Carol married Joseph R. McCullough on September 21, 1963, who preceded her in death on November 10, 2016.
She worked for AEP as a secretary when she met her husband and then enjoyed being a homemaker. She was a devoted member of the Wooster United Methodist Church, the UMC Deborah Circle, and the Order of the Eastern Star. Carol was also a Girl Scout and Brownie Troop Leader and a Wooster Band mom. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, reading, doing word search puzzles, and hosting family gatherings at their home.
Carol is survived by her children Scott McCullough of Wooster, Todd McCullough of Wooster, and Susan (Shane) McCullough-Holstein of Reynoldsburg; grandchildren Sara (Jon) Keesee of Creston; Emily (Landon) Gonser of Fairlawn and Laine Holstein of Ohio; great-grandchildren Canyon Knox Gonser, Aria Keesee; brother Louis Chenot of Joplin, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings Marie Poffek and Barbara Long.
A private service will be held at Wooster Cemetery with Rev. David Wilcox presiding.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
