Carolyn A. Bonilla, 60, of Wooster died on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at her home.
She was born August 13, 1965 in Spencer, West Virginia to Russell and Betty Miller Sampson. In 2005, she married Edwin “Luies” Bonilla. He survives.
Carolyn had worked in various stores throughout her life. She loved crafting, going thrifting and crocheting. She loved all animals, especially her dog Daisy.
Along with her husband, she is survived by her son Derek Yoder of Wakeman; grandson (who was the joy in her life) Eli Mora; stepsons Ralph Bonilla and Edwin Bonilla; siblings Richard Sampson of Wooster, Robert (Rachelle) Sampson of Smithville, Michelle Sampson of Wooster, Gary (Lorrie) Sampson of Loudonville and Judy Sampson of Akron.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; son Jeremy Yoder and siblings Barbara Yoder, Charlotte Keim and Louis Sampson.
A Celebration of Life service will be announced at a later date.

Carolyn was the sweetest and most kind woman I have had the pleasure of knowing. The best neighbor I have ever had and such a good friend.
She will be missed and I will carry her memory in my heart always.
I have no bad memories of Carolyn and that’s something in all my years I have never experienced, she is a forever treasure and precious and so loved I thank God that I am one of the lucky people who can call her friend.
My heart breaks for her husband, family and friends for such a loss.
The love for such a sweet gentle soul as Carolyn is something that lives on.
Having Carolyn in the Active Parenting discussion group at The Wayne County Pregnancy Care Center for 2 years of her grandson Eli’s life was precious to me. It was an honor to learn to know her family through that.
