Charlotte Ann Mowrer-Wahl, 85, of Jeromesville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026.

Born on November 4, 1940, to Charles and Bernice (Camp) Mowrer, Charlotte grew up in Reedsburg, Ohio, where she graduated from Jeromesville High School. She worked as an administrative assistant at The College of Wooster, and later with Elder-Beerman and Wendell August Forge, building meaningful relationships wherever she went.

Charlotte was a proud member of the Wooster Emblem Club for more than 50 years, treasuring both the friendships it brought and its mission of community service.

Charlotte had a heart big enough for everyone and everything. No pet was ever without her attention or affection; her home was always shared with beloved pets, most recently her cherished cats. She was always willing to help, often putting others before herself, and she carried her patriotism with quiet dignity.

Above all, Charlotte loved her family. Being “Grandma” was one of the greatest joys of her life. She cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. Her love, encouragement, and support are a legacy her family will carry forever.

Charlotte will be dearly missed by her three sons, Brad (Erin) Wahl of Sunbury, Ohio; Steve (Mindy) Wahl of Marysville, Ohio; and Brian (Stephanie) Wahl of Jeromesville, Ohio; and her daughter, Eva (Brenda) Wahl of Wooster, Ohio. She was a proud grandmother to Gwen (James) Wahl of Mountain View, California; Colby (Allison) Wahl of Knightdale, North Carolina; Peter (Rachel) Wahl of Westerville, Ohio; Justin (Sarah) Wahl of Jeromesville, Ohio; Mallory (Ryan) Wahl of Dublin, Ohio; and Corey Wahl of Marysville, Ohio. She is also survived by her brother, Dave (Linda) Mowrer of West Salem, Ohio, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Bernice (Camp) Mowrer, and her younger sister, Caroline.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, August 2, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home 216 E. Larwill St. Wooster, Ohio .

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wooster Emblem Club Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 494, Wooster, OH 44691.
