Edward Michael Hill,66, of Wooster died on Monday, July 13, 2026 at University Hospital in Cleveland.
He was born on October 16, 1959 in Wooster to Charles and Carolyn Wright Hill.
Edward served proudly in the Army and worked in the oil fields then at Gerstenslager/Artiflex and later as a mechanic for American Augers, at Akron Brass, and for Lowe’s.
He loved working on old cars, racing, traveling, and spending time with friends.
Edward is survived by his daughter Rachelle Tomblin of Dalton; father Charles of Wooster; two grandchildren; sisters Becky (Allen) Lantz of Wooster, Vicki (Jeff) Meese of Wooster; former spouse and friend Deb Hill of Rowsburg.
He was preceded in death by his mother Carolyn and brother Donnie Hill.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 from 11:00-1:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster. Inurnment will follow at 2:45PM at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Seville, OH 44273.

I was friends with Eddie in High school. Always a nice guy. May he rest in peace . Condolences to his family. 🙏
Keith and I are shocked to read of Eddie’s passing. We, just recently, saw him at different music venues after so many years. He was our Wooster High School class of 1978 classmate. May he rest in peace.
When we were teenagers, we grew up in the same neighborhood. We ran and did things that today would still run shivers up a man’s spine.
We ran hard, lived hard and worked hard. Brothers from different mothers!
When we were in the army, we were part of the 101st Airborne. One of their mottos was, if you’re going to soar with the Eagles you can’t run with the turkeys! Today, Eddie is truly soaring with the Eagles. I can only hope that my words of condolences have somehow touched the hearts of family and friends that it may ease the sorrow that plagues them.
I can honestly say that Eddie has lived a life that very few ever get the opportunity to experience.

I’ve known Ed since my teenage years. He introduced me to my love the first time the evening before they left for the service. He introduced us again at Danners on a Thursday night when they had returned home. He opened his home to me when I was homeless. Oh the laughs we have had, thanks my friend you shall be missed. Prayers for peace and comfort to his family and friends.
Oh the FUN We used to have riding 4 wheelers and dirt bikes 40+ years ago…prayers for his family …until we meet again Ed Rest in peace my friend🌺
I am saddened by this news. I grew up in the same area as Eddie. Our group hung out at the elementary school, organizing quick games on the baseball field.,
Eddie was my first kiss. We were at the top of the Washington monument. Lol Sixth grade memories.
I hope all who knew him have memories that bring a smile and warmth as they remember him.
Growing up in the same area as kids, we all had a great time getting into things. Being classmates At Pittsburgh Avenue, and have the older siblings that were also friends. Eddie was a fun. Unpredictable and full of adventure. His body language would always give him away when things were about to get crazy. I know he will be missed by his family and friends and may he Rest in Peace. My sincere condolences.

I just recently met Eddie and was planning a trip to Thailand and Vietnam in November. What Eddie lacked in knowledge about setting things up to travel, he more the made up with his enthusiasm. He told me a half dozen time that this upcoming trip was on his bucket list and he would call me almost weekly to make sure we were still on for November. His enthusiasm was infectious and I knew the upcoming trip was going to be memorable! Eddie, Thank you for your service to this country and rest in peace my friend.
I was another ole school mate from Pittsburgh Ave all the way thru high school. We were all “Southside of the Tracks” kids ( as Brett Deffenbaugh sp.? used to always proclaim us to be😊) . My sister Roberta was besties with Vicky, and Becky was my brother’s first girlfriend 😂.. But… We were kids just doing whatever we wanted just so we made it home for the street lights came on.lol
I have old memories of my friend, and I I know he’s in good hands. I send my sympathies to ur family and friends. Peace Be With You 🙏🇺🇸😔
Im sure going to miss our front porch talks about this, that, and other. My family will forever cherish the ceramic bear that you gave us just days before you passed on. Im glad we got to spend a few evenings together here recently enjoying the nice weather together and catching up. You were one of a kind brother and I sure will miss ya.
