Rick Shutt, 65, of Perrysville, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 24, 2026.
He was born as a twin to Ronald and Shirley Shutt of Wooster. He was a long time over the road truck driver for over 20 years; he was noted by his employer as the best driver they had. He won many safety awards throughout the years.
He loved doing the demo derby at Wayne County and Ashland fairs. He won over 10 times throughout that time. He loved to run his Dodge Ram mud truck with this friends Glen and Ginger Amos at Vick’s Mud Run.
He enjoyed being around nephews and great niece and nephew.
Rick is survived by his twin brother Bob (Christie) Shutt; brother Jimmy (Sheri) Shutt; children Tom Shutt and Brandi (Robby) Gonzalez; nephews Stephen, Cody, Josh, Jeremy and Jason Shutt; niece Tiffany (Marc) Glassford; great-nieces and nephews who he spoiled all of the time; best friend Glen Amos and his dog “Bubby” who was his co-pilot.
He was preceded in death by his parents and great-niece Everleigh Shutt.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 2:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster. Interment will follow in New Pittsburg Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 12:00 PM until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.

We are very saddened by the passing of Ricky. I will miss him always giggling and calling me “dear”. Our work family lost a good one for sure! Prayers and condolences to you all.
