Carla Pavkov July 15, 1947- August 4, 2026
Carla was born on July 15, 1947, to Bob and Ruth Hildebrand. An undeniable force. She was very passionate in making her own way in life. A true entrepreneur, from a lounge to restaurant owner, antique dealer, and enjoyed estate sales. Carla always provided top quality. Her endeavors took her to places and gave experiences others dream of. She was an inspiration to many, especially the younger women in her family. When she wasn’t busy with her latest project, she enjoyed bingo, euchre, and poker with the girls, but her favorite was to spend time with her family. She will always be remembered as a gracious host, entertainer, and a wonderful cook.
She is survived by her sons Wesley Mote and Michael Armbrust; grandchildren Alexis and Brandon (Matte) Mote, and Linus, Olive, Ansel, Etta Armbrust; great-grand-littles Merlin Blair and Maverick Mote; siblings Bob (Wilma) Hildebrand, Richard Hildebrand, Dixie (Ralph) Kirkwood, and Mary Ludwig. Her nieces and nephews who were very dear to her, as she was to them. Her special girls Brenda and Bernie Saksa that she loved as her own.
Carla was preceded in death by her parents, sister Judy Beckler, sister-in-law Karen Hildebrand, and niece Christal Beckler. The family would like to thank Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare and the Wayne County Care Center for their excellent care and compassion. There will be a celebration of her life held at a later date.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
