Dallas “Toots” Lee Murphy, 93, of Wooster died on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare.

He was born June 1, 1933 in Maysel, WV to French and Ida Summers Murphy.  On August 1, 1975, he married Mabel Perry.  She survives.

Toots worked for many years at Rubbermaid as a set-up man.  Toots served his country in the U.S. Army.  He enjoyed riding in his tractor and working around his property and the outdoors.  He especially enjoyed sitting in his swing for hours on end.  Toots attended Church of the Saviour.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his sons Russell Murphy of Wooster and Ronny Murphy of Coshocton; grandchildren Chase, Katie and Ronny, Jr.

Toots was preceded in death by his parents; son Eddy Murphy and siblings Alice, Becky, Edith, Maggie, Ray, Roy, Lou, Lewis, Delbert, Cecil, Bonnie and Mabel.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at 2:15 PM at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Seville.
