Kourtland Wincek, born on March 30th, 2003, passed away unexpectedly at home on August 23, 2026, after a lifelong battle with Marfan and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.
His first surgery was at 1 month of age, followed by many more throughout his life. He tried to love life the best way he could. Kourtland enjoyed camping with his dad, bonfires, thunderstorms, riding his scooter too fast (Mom says), and spending time gaming with his friends. He also loved his little brother (even though he is annoying) and his cat, Anakin (AKA Mr. Mew). But what he loved most in the world was beef jerky.
Kourtland will be missed by so many, especially his sarcasm and inside jokes.
Kourtland is survived by his mother, Mandy Wincek; stepmother, Melody Boylen; sister, Tori Webb (Jacob); brother, Bowen Worstall; stepbrother, Shawn Milici; stepsister, Gabby Milici; grandfather, Michael (Janita) Webb; grandmother, Victoria Kilgore; aunts, Regina (Scott) Miller, Amy (John) Gilbert; uncle, Ray (Jessica) Webb; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Proceeded in death by his father, Todd Wincek; grandfather, Steve Wincek; grandmother, Ida Wincek; step-grandfather, Frank Kilgore.
There will be a Celebration of life for Kourtland on Sept.12th 2026 at 1:00 P.M, at Christmas Run Park- Park Ave, Wooster, OH. (Pavilion W.) Right across from the playground.
We will also have a donations box to help go towards his final expenses.
