Ronald L. Foltz, 86, of Wooster died on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at West View Healthy Living.
He was born February 5, 1940 in Wooster to Robert and Pearl Leyda Foltz. On September 23, 1963, he married Janet Smith. She survives.
Ron retired in 2002 from Akron Brass after over 30 years of service. He enjoyed horses, classic cars, watching westerns and vacationing in the Smokey Mountains with Janet.
Along with Janet, Ron is survived by his children Richard (Regina) Foltz and Becky (Kevin) Covert both of Wooster and Christy (Buster) Norris of Lucas; grandchildren Ryan (Heather) Foltz, Raquel Ulrich, Brittany (Derek) Gregan, Brandon (Grace) Covert, Olivia Norris, Zoe Norris and Gunner Norris; great-grandchildren Calla Foltz, Ciaran Foltz, Isla Covert, Delaney Gregan, Josie Covert and June Gregan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Bonnie Carson.
There will be no services.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

Uncle Gene gave me the sad news of Ronnie’s passing.
I hope Ron is linked up now with the old 58 Plymouth convertible he destroyed once upon time with a crash contest he had with a semi trailer.
When I was about 6, he took me and dad for a ride down Saunders Rd going out of Shreve and I could see the speedometer with lateral bars that got up past 100!! It was quite a ride and we were lucky no one was on the road that night. I really liked that car with those tail fins. I hated to see it all banged up just shortly after that ride.

Janet so sorry for the passing of your husband Ron. I know it’s hard. I lost my husband Carl last Nov. and I still miss him. But we go on the best we can. You have family around to help and keep busy Janet. Come join us at the class luncheon sometime. We have around 18 people that come once a month. We go different places every month.
