WOOSTER – Waneta Maxine Wirt, 95 of Wooster, passed away Monday, May 20, 2019 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster, after a period of declining health.
She was born on Aug. 02, 1923, in Shreve, the daughter of Charles and Florence (Geib) Poulson and married Paul W. Wirt on December 24, 1940. He preceded her in death on July 18, 1968.
Maxine had a love of her community, her church and most importantly, her family. She loved spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren, and her great-great grandson.
Surviving are children, Paul (Gloria) Wirt of Wooster, Linda Conley of Stuart, Fla, Brenda Stradley of Wooster; grandchildren, Shelly Reeves (Steve Schaller) of Wooster, Doug (Audra) Wirt of Wooster. Great grandchildren; Rachelle (Jordan) Roemer, Samantha (Blake) Boss, Brandon Reeves, and great-great grandson, Emmett Bess. Brother; Charles Poulson of Wooster and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Clifford Skip, Rolland, Russell, and Walter Poulson and sister; Helen Kurtz.
The family would like to thank the staff of LifeCare Hospice for their loving care of Maxine.
Services will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.at the Mcintire, Bradham and Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, with Rev Tom Fish officiating. Burial will be in the Moreland Methodist Cemetery in Wooster.
          Family and friends may call 2 hours prior to the 2:00 p.m. service at the funeral home.
      In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691 or to Moreland  United Methodist Church, 138 Moreland Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.

  3. My mother-in-law, Jane, and I enjoyed Maxine at Cardiac Rehab at Wooster Hospital. She was a dear, kind lady.
