SMITHVILLE “ Mildred J. Tyler, 70, of Smithville passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019 at Ohio ™s Hospice LifeCare in Wooster.
She was born August 30, 1948 in Wooster, the daughter of Paul D. Sr. and Regina French Schafrath.   She married Walter Tyler on August 14, 1971.   He survives.
Mildred was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.   She volunteered for Meals on Wheels, had been a 4-H Advisor and a leader for the Boy Scouts and the Girl Scouts.   She enjoyed sewing, knitting, craft projects and traveling.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Walter, are her children, Walter (Allison) Tyler, III of New York, NY, William (Krista) Tyler of Smithville and Clarissa (Andrew) Bailey of Rising Sun, Indiana; grandchildren, Devin Tyler, Kalayna Tyler, Madeline Bailey, Kinzie Bailey, Thomas Tyler and Smith Tyler; siblings, Deanna Draper of Ashland and Paul Schafrath of Wooster.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, grandchildren, Dylan and Mikayla Tyler and a brother, Donald Schafrath.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 6-8:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster with Rev. Stephen Moran officiating.   Burial will follow in the Wooster Cemetery.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Akron Children ™s Hospital, 214 W. Bowery St., Akron, OH 44308 or to Ohio ™s Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
