WOOSTER Philip Edmund Schrader, 61, of Wooster passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born January 18, 1958 in Cookeville, TN the son of Eddie Eugene and Phyllis Angeline Baker Schrader. He married Lori Ann Lasswell on November 22, 1997. She survives.
He had worked as a dairy man at Von s Safeway Markets in Los Angeles, California for 30 years retiring in 2012 and had also owned Jet Stream Truck Washing Co. in California. After retirement, he moved to Wooster to be closer to family and worked for A.V.I. for a year and then ran Harbor Hill Heirlooms Antique Shop. He was a member of St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church.
Philip loved going to the movies, spending time with his entire family, attending his children s activities and was an avid lifelong Jets fan.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Lori, are his children, Courtney Tyre, Cassandra Ehrig, Jessica Fuqua, Alexandra Stabile, John Schrader and Gia Schrader; grandchildren, Ireland, Cambria and Aria; a brother Steve Schrader and his father-in-law, Jesse Lasswell.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law, Helen Lasswell.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 3186 Burbank Rd., Wooster with Rev. Dr. V. Elaine Strawn officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

There are no words to truly convey the depth of my sadness and sense of loss. Lori, Courtney, Cassandra, John, Jessica, Gia and family, you all have my sincere and deepest condolences. Over the years we didn’t always see Phil or speak often, but when we did, it was always as though no time had passed. Phil was kind, genuinely warm, hospitable and friendly. He had a quick wit and had a sharp, sometimes wicked sense of humor that could bridge the gap of any awkward moment and turn any potential enemy into a loyal friend. To know Phil was to love Phil. Phil was much loved and was a loyal friend to me and to so many. Goodbye for now Phil. You will be missed more than words can express and loved beyond measure by many.
