  4. Mr. and Mrs. Dush were good friends of my parents, and my siblings and I grew up with Roger, Ann and Nancy. Whenever I was in town I would try to see the Dushes and continued doing so after Mr. Dush passed away. I traded Christmas cards with Mrs. Dush every year and looked forward to hearing how she was doing. A truly great woman who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Rest In Peace-i loved your spirit and gentle goodness!

  6. I want to echo my sister, Cindy’s comments. I remember spending several 4th of July holidays with the Dush family. It was always a great time! I also learned about pruning trees from Mr. Dush at the Christmas tree farm in the middle of a couple hot summers and helping cut trees for a couple Christmas seasons. It was hard work! Most of all I remember how positive and happy both of them were. They lived wonderful lives and touched many people. My condolences to my classmate, Nancy, and the whole family.

  11. My first memories of Mrs. Dush were in November 1959, as a very scared Kindergarten student transferring from Walnut Street to Pittsburgh Avenue. She was an excellent teacher and I was blessed to also have her as a Sunday School teacher at the Methodist Church. After not seeing her for many years I was at the Pine Tree Barn circa 1983 and she called me by name… said she recognized my impish grin and eyes (smile). May she rest in peace for a life well lived. God bless you all.
