On April 12, 2019, God received the beautiful soul of Charles I Holden II, age 33 following a heroic fight to survive following critical injuries at Akron City Hospital.
Calling hours and a memorial service to follow will be held at McIntire, Bradham, & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E Larwill St Wooster Ohio Thursday, April 18 from 5 to 7 pm. Interment will be at East View Cemetery in Centerburg, Ohio on Friday, April 19 at 1pm.
Charles was born on January 22, 1986 at Scott AFB, Bellville, Illinois and was the son of Kevin and Sondra (Chapman) Holden. On July 17, 2011 he married Courtney Kirby and she survives.
He is survived by children, Star, Carolyn, Connar, Brandon, and Jocelyn; paternal grandmother Dorothy (Brinson) Holden; step mother, Terry Salay and step father Billy Adams; sister Jessica Holden, brothers Caleb and Aidan Singer-Holden; step siblings, Nichole (Randy) Carr, Alex (Alicia) Salay, Steven Salay, Melaine Adams, Wade (Danielle) Adams; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and so many friends that were called family.
During his free time, Charles loved to spend time playing with his children and spending time with family. He also enjoyed the outdoors and hiking, computer games, and bowling. He will truly be missed, but never forgotten.

  1. To my awesome friend who knows how I truly feel. With having so many health issues in common we connected right away. We had a lot of different plans buddy and I will push through and work on the things ASAP. MISS YOU BUDDY AND WILL SEW YOU SOON.
