WOOSTER – Dwight M. CASEY, 88, of Wooster, passed away Monday June 20, 2011 in his home.
He was born January 9, 1923 in Holmes Co., the son of Matthew L. and Gladys Guthrie Casey. He married Betty Gindlesberger on February 5, 1946. She died March 15, 2007.
He had a career in the auto industry and retired from the Wooster Community Hospital Maintainence Dept. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, a member of the Grange and was an avid bowler. He served his country with the US Army during WWII in the South Pacific.
Surviving are his children, Connie (Randy) Green of Salem, Oregon, Chris Casey of Shreve and Cindi (Robbie) White of Wooster; 6 Grandchildren, 8 Great-Grandchildren and a brother, Allen Casey of Millersburg.
In addition to his wife, Dwight was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Harold and Delmar and sisters Elizabeth Robinson and Janice Gamertsfelder.
Friends will be received from 12:30 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. service at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 with the Rev. Jeff Paschal officiating. Entombment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
