WOOSTER – Alan D. MEEKS, 51, of Wooster passed away Saturday, April 25, 2009 in Akron City Hospital.
He was born April 22, 1958 in Millersburg son of Ron and Joanne Young Meeks.
He had worked at Wayne Siding and owned and operated a truck accessory business in Venice, Florida. He was a graduate of Triway High School and was an outdoorsman and loved hunting, camping, fishing and NASCAR. Served his country with the U. S. Army.
Surviving are his parents of Wooster, sisters, Kathy (Dick) Robeson of Ft. Myers, FL and Cindy (Larry) Neidig of Wooster.
Alan was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mabel Thomas and paternal grandparents, Waldo (Alice) Meeks.
A Memorial Service will be held at the McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Kevin Phipps officiating. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the time of the service.
