On November 2, 2017 Allen L. Starkey was called home after a brief illness.
An Ohio native, Allen was from Lagrange, Ohio but was well-known in Wayne County as the son-in-law of Glen & Dot Boling.
Al attended OSU ™s College of Business where he met and married his bride of 59+ years, Marjorie Boling of Wooster in 1958.   Allen was a proud Air Force Veteran and Veteran of the Korean War as well as a formidable businessman.
Al ™s long career in business blossomed early with the Hobart Corporation where he spent 26 years in various capacities all the way to District sales Manager in several major cities.
Al returned to Wooster taking brief ownership at Ford Tractor when a great Franchise opportunity presented itself with Little Caesar ™s Pizza that took Al and Marge to the Monterrey Peninsula in California.
After retirement, Al and Marge became RV ™ers returning to Wayne County annually for several years parking out at the Fairgrounds were Al enjoyed being a familiar groundskeeper.
Al is survived by his wife Marjorie, four children Hadley (Evelyn), Wesley (Marla), Nancy (David) Flynn and Emily Jo Peak; six grandchildren; several nephews and nieces.   Al ™s older brother Ralph from Troy passed away just 36 days prior to Al ™s passing.
A Military Honor Guard will salute Al during Graveside Services in Fredericksburg East Cemetery on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 1:00 PM.  
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
