SHREVE – Andy H ESSELBURN, 85, of Shreve, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2010 in his home.
He was born January 17, 1925 in Shreve, the son of Clifford C. and Martha Lehr Esselburn.
He was a lifelong dairy farmer having served on the Akron Milk Producers Board for 10 years and on the Production Credit Assoc. Advisory Board for 10 years. Andy spent a lot of time with 4-H members receiving his 10 year advisor pin. During WWII he spent three years at the Navy Modification Base at Goodyear, Arizona.
Surviving are wife of 53 years, Mary Eileen Rader Esselburn; his children Thomas (Kelly) Esselburn of Shreve, David Esselburn and Robert (Beverly) Esselburn both of Lakeville, 7 grandchildren, brothers, Charles Esselburn of Shreve, George Esselburn of CA, and Adrian Pete Esselburn of Richmond, IN.
Andy was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Mary Jane Karavounis, Eloise Moore, sister, Dorothy Hoover Schmitt.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St. Wooster on Monday, May 17, 2010 from 6:-8:00 P.M.
Services will be held at Funeral Home, Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at 11:00 AM Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Shreve.
