WOOSTER “ Arline œPeggy  Aukerman, 73, of Wooster passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Ohio ™s Hospice LifeCare in Wooster.
She was born August 29, 1947 in Wooster the daughter of Robert and Thelma Smith Leighty.   She married Duane T. Aukerman on June 20, 1964.   He preceded her in death on February 3, 2014.
Peggy was a homemaker and had worked as a cook for the Wooster Rotary and the Ranch.   She enjoyed sewing, cross stitch, embroidery, quilting, cooking, baking, putting together puzzles and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are her children Jeff (Karen) Aukerman, Rod (Kim) Aukerman and Brenda (Brad) Fleming all of Wooster; grandchildren Brett (Kristy) Aukerman, Brittany (Aaron) Moore, Alyssa (Cody) Strock, Jessica Aukerman, Nathan (Aimee) Aukerman, Josh Aukerman, Kaitlyn Aukerman, Jake Fleming, Garrett Fleming and Sam Fleming; Great grandchildren Noah Aukerman, Moxen Moore, Everleigh Strock, Madelyn Aukerman, Zoey Aukerman and Oliver Aukerman; siblings Beth Ann Blair and William Leighty both of Wooster.
In addition to her husband, Duane, she was preceded by her parents and siblings Ruby Nickles, twin sister Pauline Leighty, Ruth Marie Aukerman and Bonnie Boreman.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Saturday, May 8, 2021 from 4-6:00 p.m.   Masks are required and social distancing will be observed.
There will be no funeral services.
